Rammel Club 38 -- Weds Oct 5th
Ruins Alone (jp) + Crash Night + Rattle
of RUINS, ZENI GEVA, ACID MOTHERS TEMPLE...
Japan’s Ruins played a crazed blend of punk rock and Magma obsessed prog rock, so insanely fast and technical that prolonged exposure could cause nosebleeds amongst listeners. Since the loss of their fourth bassist, drummer Yoshida Tatsuya is carrying on as RUINS alone and his one man show is a sight to behold as he tears his drum kit apart with convoluted rhythms, barking out operatic Zeuhl hymns and triggering samples as he goes.
If you’re even remotely interested in the crazed Japanese psychedelic rock scene that spawned Acid Mothers Temple then get down to the front ‘cos this is a rare opportunity to see a guy who’s played with them all, Zeni Geva, Koenjihyakkei, High Rise, Mainliner, John Zorn….the list goes on. And if you love the sounds of Magma, Goblin and King Crimson then consider yourself summoned!
CRASH NIGHT
Crushing sludge duo from Brum. Mixing Crossed Out style power violence with screeching drone and guitar mangling.
RATTLE
The drumbos from two of Nottingham’s finest units, Kogumaza and Fists, have joined forces to bring you a new sizzling experiment in sound.
